'Imran Khan must ensure no terrorist activity will happen during long march'

Islamabad – Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said PTI Chairman Imran Khan must ensure that no terrorist activity will happen during their long march on 14th of this month.

He was talking to newsmen in Rawalpindi on this Sunday after flag hoisting ceremony in connection with Independence Day celebrations.

Pervaiz Rashid said no one from PTI will resign from the National Assembly and if Imran Khan sought resignations from his parliamentarians, there will be a revolt in the party.

The minister said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is committed to overcome energy shortage.

It has initiated numerous power projects including coal, hydro, solar and wind in this connection. He said the country is making development on fast track which was acknowledged by the leading world institutions including Moody"s, Asian Development Bank, World Bank and Wall Street Journal.

Pervaiz Rashid said according to Nielsen Survey, people in Pakistan on this Eid did shopping worth eight hundred billion rupees which shows that their purchasing power has increased because of economic prosperity to a great extent.

Earlier, the minister hoisted national flag as part of the Independence Day celebrations. He urged the nation to hoist as many as flags they can at their residences, offices, buildings and vehicles.
