PESHAWAR - Professor Ibrahim, a member of Taliban talks committee on Friday expressed reservations over the progress in government's dialogue with Taliban.
Talking to media persons here, Ibrahim complained that the government has failed to form a committee that holds meaningful dialogue with Taliban. The possibility of progress in the talks was vanishing due to absence of a trustworthy government committee, he said.
The Taliban negotiator said he was in contact with Maulana Yousuf Shah and hopeful for progress in dialogue and the peace process can move forward if the government supports it seriously.
The professor said that he is trying to maintain trust between the two sides. Answering a question, he replied "We have not talked with the Taliban Shura about extension in ceasefire.
