ISLAMABAD – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif met Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, according to a handout issued here on Monday.
The statement said that the chief minister and the army chief discussed matters of mutual interest during the meeting. The statement also said that Shahbaz and General Sharif called presidential address to the joint parliament quite balance. On May 24, Shahbaz also met General Sharif at the Army Guest House in Lahore.
Earlier, a delegation of Indian energy experts called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and discussed with him alternative energy generation projects. The Indian experts assured their full cooperation for the development of bio-mass and bio-gas projects in the province.
The chief minister informed his Indian guests that there were vast opportunities of investment in bio-mass and bio-gas sectors in Pakistan particularly in Punjab.
