QUETTA: At least two people, including a Hindu trader, were killed and two others injured in two different incidents of firing in Jhal Magsi and Khuzdar areas of Balochistan, on Tuesday.
According to the Levies sources, a person identified as Noral Magsi fired at and killed a man over an old enmity. The firing also left two others injured. Levis reached the site after the incident and shifted the dead and injured to the Civil Hospital Jhal Magsi. The body of the deceased was handed over to his heirs after medico-legal formalities, while the injured were referred to Larkana for further treatment. The accused managed to escape after the murder.
Levies registered a case of the incident and started investigating. Separately, unidentified armed men killed a Hindu trader in Khuzdar District, on Tuesday. According to reports, armed men fired on Hindu trader Bhagwan Das when he was opening his shop, inflicting several bullet wounds. He was shifted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Hindu community took to the streets in protest soon after the incident and chanted slogans against the local authorities. They closed all the markets and shops belonging to them.
