Qadri asks supporters not to allow PM to flee

PAT chief claims victory, says in control of Pak Secretariat, gates of PM house

ISLAMABAD – Claiming victory of the ‘Revolution March and ‘Azadi March’, Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said on Monday that they were in control of the entire Pakistan Secretariat and gate of the Prime Minister House and only formal announcement was to be made.

Addressing activists from his container, the PAT chief said that they had won the war with peaceful protests and announced that the PAT and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf  would not provide coffin for the rule of Sharif’s. He said that when females of the protest gave sacrifices, the movement achieved its objectives.

He said that his workers were in control of the two gates of Prime Minister House and asked them not to allow him to flee. Tahirul Qadri demanded the formation of the national government which must carry out reforms, give rights and justice to the people.

He asked the workers of the PAT and the PTI to remain peaceful and not to damage the symbols of state and accept the orders of the Pakistan army. Earlier there were clashes between the police and the protestors as both the sides freely indulged in pelting of stones and firing of tear gas shells.

After the clash, as the massive crowd of people started moving towards Pakistan Secretariat, the police suddenly withdrew and did not stop the marchers from entering into different blocks of the Secretariat. They further went ahead and gathered outside the gate of Prime Minister House.

The containers of Dr Tahirul Qadri and PTI chief Imran Khan remained in front of the cabinet block just only a few meters away from each other.
