Imran, Qadri working on international plan to derail democracy: PTI MNA

PESHAWAR – Member of National Assembly (MNA) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Nasir Khan Khattak has expressed the optimism that veteran politician Javed Hashmi expelled by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan from the party's presidential slot, would lead the Party's forward bloc in the national assembly.

“Yes Javed Hashmi will be our leader in the lower house of the parliament”, said Nasir Khan Khattak dissident the PTI MNA from Karak while talking to APP here on Monday. Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan were bent upon destroying democracy under a well scripted international conspiracy.

He said that the plan was partially conveyed to a parliamentary party meeting held at Imran Khan's residence at Bani Gala three months after May 11, 2013 elections. “The meeting of the PTI parliamentarians were told by the Chairman Imran Khan to prepare for the elections in 2014 as the Nawaz government will not last more than a year,” he said.

The lawmaker said that he would contact Javaid Hashmi and other party leaders to chalk out the future strategy for the party. He claimed that there were 21 MNAs who were unwilling to resign from the assembly as the decision was taken by the unconstitutional core committee of the party without consulting the parliamentarians.

He said that the strength of the forward block had risen to 22 after expulsion of Javed Hashmi. He endorsed the claims of the PTI president Javaid Hashmi that PTI chairman was following some external directions. He went on to say that by calling for mutiny and attacking the state symbol, the PTI chairman had lost the right to lead the party so he must step down and face the legal action under Article 6 of the constitution.

“The attack on the parliament and the Prime Minister House by the PTI chairman is a declaration of war against the state,” he said. He said that majority of the PTI leaders were against the current dictatorial policies of Imran Khan. He said that the party constitution did not have any provision to expel any member through public announcement.

Khattak who was elected from NA-15 Karak, said decision of resignation from National Assembly was discriminatory as the PTI government in KP was still functional and only the MNAs were asked to quit the parliament. Nasir Khan said that there was no democracy in the party as it was hijacked by two powerful persons namely Jehangir Tareen and Shah Mehmood Qureshi who were making all key decisions without consulting others.

These two bigwigs in the PTI plus Shaikh Rashid Ahmed have put the future of the party at stake in Pakistan by giving wrong advice to the party chief. To a question he said that there was no danger to democracy in Pakistan rather Imran Khan had created problems for himself by waging uncalled for ‘Azadi march’.

To a question, he said that Dr Tahirul Qadri was an agent of Jewish lobby. He said that he was a Canadian national and could not even become member of Pakistani parliament, how could he ask an elected the prime minister to step down.

He said that the PTI could not win a single seat in the next elections from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa if mid terms polls were held.
