Petroleum prices stay unchanged

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has rejected the summary for hike in the prices of petroleum products (POL) and ordered that they be maintained at the current level during the month of July. 
With this decision of reprieve from the PML-N government to the general public with the start of holy month of Ramazan, the Finance Ministry would provide Rs 510 million subsidy to keep the prices of POL products unchanged during the month. Prime Minister Nawaz Sahrif on Monday directed Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar to provide relief to the masses during holy month of Ramazan and later, after which the Ministry of Finance decided to keep the prices of petroleum products unchanged, official sources said on Monday.
