The minister said the entire nation was supporting the operation Zarb-e-Azb and peace would be restored on permanent basis at all costs.
He said it was unfortunate that some political elements were trying to sabotage the operation and undermining the national interests just for their personal gains. The people would not allow such elements to sabotage the operation.
Kh Asif said at this critical juncture unity had become more imperative and urged the people to forge unity among their ranks for foiling evil designs of anti-state elements while the government would fulfill its responsibilities for maintaining law and order across the country.
The Independence Day would be celebrated with national spirit and fervour in every nook and corner of the country and the government would not allow anybody to disrupt it, he said.
The minister said parliament was the best forum for discussing national issues and bringing about reforms but some political elements were trying to show their street power for their political gains on the Independence Day.
