Sir: Discrimination and intolerance for the other can be found not just on our shores but pretty much all over the world. The authorities in Bangladesh have raised severe objections against anyone waving the Pakistani flag during the T 20 match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, except for only Pakistani nationals. How dare anyone, no matter who and what their authority, tell people who and which country they ought to support? Is this a new form of dictatorship nationalism where even an innocent sporting match can become a political point scorer? The direction in which governments the world over are heading is alarming — the will and mind of the people is not being considered at all. We should wave the flag of whoever we support, ours or theirs. WARDHA SANA Lahore
