Sir: We would be soon free of intermediate examinations but the tension of preparing for the entry test would hang over us for more months. Entry tests around the world are held right after the final examinations so that the students can comfortable apply their fresh knowledge in the test. Sadly in Pakistan, this is not the case, given a few elite exceptions. The potential university students join coaching centres and private tuition circles in order to secure a seat in a reputable university. The coaching centres take advantage of this situation and guarantee success in exchange for a hefty fee of course. The ministry of education should look into the matter and arrange for the entry test soon after the annual examination of intermediate students. Khoulah Afzal Qamar Karachi
