Sir: Today, I woke up to the breaking news making the airwaves that in the aftermath of the Peshawar tragedy, the government has decided to take control of all madrassas; from now on Juma (Friday prayers) sermons will be issued by the Auqaf Department; no private NGO/individual will be allowed to build a mosque/madrassa; Lal Masjid cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz has been dismissed from government service; constitutional amendments are being introduced to bring FATA into the mainstream and the Pak-Afghan border has been sealed off. I was overwhelmed to see this news and screamed with joy but, alas, my own screams woke me up from this delightful dream and only then it dawned upon me that the nation is still awaiting the recently formulated committee to come up with an action plan against terrorism. In the meantime, people like Maulana Abdul Aziz are busy spreading and promoting an anti-state agenda. Furqan Shabbir Lahore
