Sir: I think Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, the son of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, is getting way ahead of himself. To see him address a crowd gathered at one of the recent PML-N rallies, staged to counter the growing popularity of the PTI and PAT sit-ins, was nothing less than amusing. In an impassioned speech he said that no one could dare to seek the prime minister’s resignation, a dare that many are bent to take him up on. He said that the “new” Pakistan was all about the sisters and daughters of this country being made to sing and dance in public and that he could not stand to see this. Is this what he thinks the country is striving for? The people are singing and dancing because they are rejoicing at the prospect of other candidates besides the few dynasties that have monopolised power in Pakistan over the last few decades. So what if they are having a little fun while they are at it?Hamza, you really need to liven up!AYESHA ABDULLAHLahore
