Sir: Indian movies have always been a source of entertainment for Pakistanis but we do not realise how badly they are affecting our youngsters’ minds. Most of the Bollywood movies openly show various drugs and tobacco use as a socially acceptable thing and our youngsters end up admiring Indian actors consuming alcohol and smoking. Recently, a lot of Turkish plays have also been aired on our local channels where they also show use of alcohol openly. I request our media regulatory authority to ban unethical Indian movies. It is the responsibility of government to ban all such rentals of DVDs, websites and channels, which are promoting vulgarity and sexuality.
