Sir: As far as I understand the meaning of street harassment is passing unwelcome remarks to a person in a public space. It is tantamount to invading a person’s physical and emotional space in a disrespectful and insulting way. We live in a society where woman is viewed as a sexual object, which is unfortunate to say the least. It is on women to keep proving such narratives wrong by their conduct and incessant efforts to take control of their lives. Street harassment is about power and control and can easily turn into violence unless women know how to handle it. Fatima ARshad Lahore
