Sir: While the heat wave is causing many deaths in Karachi, we seem to have forgotten the imminent threat of dengue virus that will definitely plague the population as soon as the monsoons start. One can notice that the government is not taking any precautionary steps to prevent unnecessary dengue deaths. Why are we so careless when it comes to human lives? Why do we always wait for the worst to happen before we do anything about the situation? It is high time that the government and various health departments take note of this issue and make sure that the dengue problem is under control before it is too late.ALIYA HASANLahore
