Sir: It is a moral and environmental injustice that we have allowed the wanton slaughter of the endangered Houbara Bustard to continue with such brazen abandon. News has emerged that as many as 2,100 of these beautiful threatened creatures have been hunted down by a Saudi prince in just three weeks. That we give permits to these royal bullies is one thing but to idly sit by and allow the devastation of our wildlife is another thing entirely. We have lost our moral compass as a nation, failing to show our compassion to God’s creatures. I do not see any light on the horizon if this is the soul of our nation.DANISH GHANILahore
