Sir: Many young officers of the public sector organisations in Pakistan have to live with negative minded veterans (most of them retired but rehired), whose only job is to create hurdles for the fresh blood. Being opportunist and self-centred, they rarely let the young minds grow and take up new positions, with the result that their growth is impeded.
