Sir: The people have been left to fend for themselves. We have not been provided electricity and gas in what seems like an attempt by this government to cull the population. Without these two essential resources, we cannot heat our homes, we cannot provide a decent meal for our families and we face shortage of water. Basically, we are freezing in our own homes. The government has left the people to their own devices, expecting us to generate our own electricity via expensive generators and we are expected to buy gas cylinders to cook our food. Why do we need these ‘representatives’ then? I am sick of the life they have given us, which is no life at all. DANISH JAFAR Lahore
