Sir: Although it is a good move on the part of Imran Khan to call off the PTI sit-ins in the wake of the Peshawar tragedy, there is no denying that the demands of the PTI are still intact. Since the protests have now been called off, the government has received breathing space and can now focus on working towards other initiatives, such as counterterrorism efforts. As the government has now got this unexpected opportunity to rejoin hands with all opposition parties, including the PTI, to show unity against terrorism, it should take advantage of this. I look forward to smooth running of the government from now onwards and to close coordination among all political parties. Certainly, it would stimulate the unstable economy of the country to grow for the benefit of the people. This is indeed a good move by the ruling party and the PTI to join hands in this difficult time. Hafiz Khurram Sajjad Karachi
