Sir: It is extremely disturbing to watch the Baloch marching on foot from Quetta in protest against their missing near and dear ones. The marchers have reached Lahore and are heading towards the federal capital. Protest is a right of every citizen but the sight of women and children walking such huge distances is too much. There is no sane person in the government to pacify these grieving relatives and comfort them by convincing them that their missing persons will be found and returned. If they are in government custody, they should be so with due process in mind. We have a dedicated and efficient interior minister. Can he undertake this challenge of redressing the grievances of these Baloch families and consoling them before they reach Islamabad? Zahid Ali Khan Rawalpindi
