Sir: Those who read and reflect on the verses from Shah Jo Risalo of Shah Abdul Bhittai always learn several meaningful messages to lead a dignified life, both at an individual and at a national level. While reading one verse from Shah Jo Risalo yesterday, I got this message and wanted to share it with other people: “Indeed, pains in your life always come with an important message. They suggest to you there is a different way. Life is telling you that you are not yet living to your full potential or being true to yourself.” The time has come that we should popularise among our young generations such heavenly messages penned down by the sufi poets and saints. There is a dire need to revive the cultural and moral values promoted by our folk and native poets. For this the relevant federal and provincial organisations such as the Pakistan Academy of Letters have to come forward and play their role in promoting these golden letters. HASHIM ABRO Islamabad
