Sir: The Balochistan University was established in Quetta, the capital city, in 1990. It is the biggest university of Balochistan, where more than 10,000 students take admissions every year. But it hurts me to say that the present situation of the university is worse than ever. Almost half of the year has passed, but the new classes of some departments have not been started yet. I myself took admission to the Sociology Department, but our classes were started on May 20, 2015. The second serious problem is that most of our teachers remain absent for weeks. Courses remain incomplete before the annual examinations start. Due to the apathy of teachers and the university administration, many students fail to complete their education. I humbly request the government of Balochistan to take effective measures regarding this issue. Students are the future of this country and we should not spoil their educational career. ABDULLAH HOMAN Quetta
