Sir: What is the point of having countless rallies, sit-ins and protests when the people are still suffering under the weight of heavy bills, unaffordable food items and drastic upheavals in the economy? How can the common man even begin to digest what is happening on the streets when we cannot provide three square meals a day in the families of low income groups? Electricity bills have shot through the roof and the people are really suffering. We appreciate calls for change but not at the cost of our livelihoods and sanity. We have to let our economy function so that the people can get on with the job of their lives. ALI TASAWAR Rawalpindi
