Sir: Dear Imran and the Sharifs, I pray for a better Pakistan that is free of corruption and dishonest people.I understand how the PTI and all opposition parties want to change the current sad state of Pakistan’s governance. However, my mind is not quite at peace when I think of all the blockades that have been set up all around Bara Kahu, the slums of Islamabad. The residents of this area have been trapped inside for almost five days now.I hope someone realises that fruit and vegetable shops are down to their last tomatoes and potatoes. I also hope someone realises that there can be severely sick patients who might need prompt healthcare and would require an ambulance to take them from Bara Kahu to one of the major hospitals in the city. Not to forget expecting mothers given a due date that unfortunately clashes with the Azadi (Independence) march that many residents of this locality are calling a nuisance march.I know sacrifices are necessary for bringing about a change for the better but I am sorry to say that sacrifices in terms of human lives are simply wrong. Please remove the blockade from the entrances of Bara Kahu and for once help lead an organised peaceful protest that does not cause discomfort to people.
