Sir: The Azadi Chowk flyover constructed in a record 165 days looks beautiful. But the trees planted on the green belts are artificial. These plants must have cost millions of rupees too. These trees are not fit for our environment. We need natural trees that could provide both shade and oxygen and are cheaper to plant. The trees planted by the Britishers along the canal are still providing shade and solace to the passersby and to the birds. A little planning about tree plantation would have solved this issue.
