Sir: A few days ago in Indian-held Kashmir, local residents raised slogans of long live Pakistan. Since the separation of India and Pakistan, the Kashmir dispute has been lingering on. The Indian government is not ready to give Kashmiris their right of self-determination to decide the future status of their homeland. Despite more than 140 table talks, there has been no solution to this issue and the innocent people in that area are living miserable lives. Whenever Kashmiris hold rallies against the atrocities of the Indian government, they are beaten and tortured by Indian forces. The Indian government needs to review its policy towards Kashmir.
