Sir: Dharna (sit-in) is a risky business, as is the seat for Prime Minister (PM). Running a country is big business. And Pakistan has been at the top 10 of the Fortune 500 list if there was such a thing for countries (maybe there ought to be). So the doctor, the cleric, the politician, the leader, the saviour, having followers from a particular demographic within Pakistan, has followed in his neighbour’s footsteps. Emulating the ‘Kaptaan’ style of processions he is also cashing in on his vote bank. But rest assured, the people may be common but their vote will remain for the greater man. Coming to the point, dharnas need fuel, manpower and the power of money. It is only fair that in a country where one does not have clean and accessible healthcare but has empty or ghost schools for its children, any and all money earned should be outside the system so the state does not steal our earnings through taxation. We should help the men who stand up to the state and stand strong against the barbarians. How about that note, vote and support then? WASAY MAJID Lahore
