Sir: According to reports, the Sharifs have sanctioned the release of Rs 364 million for added security at their Jati Umra residence in Raiwind, Lahore. This hefty sum will be used in purchasing additional vehicles and beefing up security measures. This money is in addition to the large sums of money already allocated for their security in the annual budget. This is just unbelievable! So many people in this country survive without basic amenities, without having three proper meals a day and our ruling lot cannot get over its own fanfare. My blood boils when I think about all the fancy cars they travel in and the pomp and luxury in which they live while the common man of Pakistan has given up in the fight against rising inflation and mass poverty.
