Sir: On March 9, 2014, the National Testing Service (NTS) administered the test for the post of assistant director in the ministry of defence, for which almost 96,000 candidates appeared across the country. However, some question papers contained misprints of the questions. For instance, in my case, there were 53 questions on my paper whereas in general there were 55 questions. The irony is that no invigilator informed us at any stage about the total number of questions nor was it mentioned anywhere in our documents that there would be a total of 55 questions. When I received a question paper with 53 questions, I never considered there was any possibility of one with 55 questions. The same was the case with many other candidates. It is not just a matter of one or two questions missing because the questions from number 50 onwards were each worth 20 marks. This makes a huge difference to the final outcome. The NTS authorities are requested to please look into the matter and discover the reason for this discrepancy. MUHAMMAD YOUSAF Islamabad
