Sir: On November 13, the Islamic State (IS) committed atrocious and cold-blooded act in Paris and stormed restaurants, bars, concert halls, football stadium and street markets. As a result of these attacks, 129 people lost their lives and hundred more got injured. Muslims and non-Muslims showed solidarity with France and condemned the attacks and termed it an inhuman act. The attacks question the security and sovereignty of the whole France. The angry mobs had chanted slogans against Islam even against Muslim citizens of France. The critics of Europe’s response to the refugee crisis have been quick to seize on reports that at least one of the terrorists travelled through Greece on a fake Syrian passport. The angry mobs had also demanded from their government to stop the admission of the migrants of Syria and Iraq. The France president rejected the demands of the mobs and announced that his government would welcome the war-torn migrants with an open heart. The migrants are fleeing their villages and houses due to barbarism of IS. The refugee crisis is the result of an ongoing war and conflicts in Syria. All the refugees are the victims of terror and violence due to IS brutalities. They all are peaceful migrants and craving for peaceful sanctuaries. Tightening the security of the borders and raising hurdles for them would mean to abandon the values of compassion and humanity. France should do more to provide peaceful ways to the homeless people to lessen the losses of precious human lives. ZIAULLAH KHAN Lakki Marwat
