Sir: Nowadays Pakistan is facing heavy floods that have wreaked havoc in different areas. Natural disasters or calamities are not controllable by the political leadership yet they can be managed through timely arrangements to decrease the ratio of destruction and casualties. We all know that the political temperature is so high due to the ongoing sit-in in Islamabad. All parliamentarians and political forces joined hands to strengthen democracy. Apparently what we get from Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri’s speeches is that their main motive is to work for the betterment of the people and power for themselves. I think both have the right moment to prove themselves if they believe in their respective party following. Political parties, if they play their required role, can minimise the sorrow of thousands of people suffering at the hands of these devastating natural disasters. If all other political parties join hands with Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan for the cause of helping people, they can achieve a lot as opposed to working separately. NAUSHABA ABIDVia Email
