Sir: Eidul Azha is a Muslim holy day in which sacrificial animals are slaughtered in the name of Allah. This event is celebrated with vigour and zeal around the world. This supreme sacrifice is obligatory but it has caused us much embarrassment due to no waste management in our districts. There has been a lack of a proper system in Pakistan for a long time and there is no comprehensive cleanliness policy formulated or solid waste management system operated by district governments. This Eid was no different. Due to this severe defect, one could see the entrails of different animals on the roads and streets. This causes a lot of inconvenience and agony due to the foul smell. The district government must take measures to clean up the animal waste otherwise it will create health hazards. NASIR-UD-DIN SOOMRO? Hyderabad
