Sir: Our politicians are fond of issuing statements to satisfy their ego. We have seen the result of talking without thinking, how it has dented the reputation of some good politicians lately. However, who cares here. Of late, all the leaders of the political parties in parliament have stood united in support of the government. Unfortunately, the unruly and untimely statements of the leaders from the ruling and opposition parties have marred this rare show of unity. Imran Khan sets the latest example in this regard. This practice should end. Only if the PML-N leaders could learn when to keep quiet and when to open their mouth, most of their problems will be solved without effort. Raja ShafaatUllah Islamabad
