Sir: Sindh is endemic with a number of serious diseases such as: pneumonia, tuberculosis, chronic diarrhea, malaria and HIV/AIDS. Hundreds of people die every month because of these anomalies. Since diseases become incurable when poverty reigns, the death toll in rural Sindh is usually higher compared to that in urban Sindh. The inaccessibility of clean drinking water, sewerage water spilling over into people’s homes and mosquitoes allowed to thrive on contaminated ponds have multiplied miseries for the people. The government is requested to take action. HasHim Abro Islamabad
