Sir: The abduction of doctors in Balochistan still remains a mystery. Doctors burn their midnight oil to ensure people’s good health and safety. Being abducted on a daily basis in Balochistan is nothing less than pathetic and horrific. The recent abduction of dental surgeon Dr Baqir Baloch, along with his son, Notak Baloch, turned a new page on the devastating situation in the province. Dr Baqir Baloch was on duty while his son visited him regarding household work. Unfortunately, both of them were kidnapped at 11 pm on November 20, 2014 in the Turbat division of Makran by unidentified people, who took them to some unknown place. Furthermore, the well-known Hindu doctor, Dr Manoj Kumar, who is recognised for his talent and tuition classes at the Doctors Academy, Quetta, was abducted on December 2, 2014 near his house by unknown people. I feel terrified to say that such activities in Balochistan carry no future for the people. Family members and relatives remain in torture, waiting to see them come back safe and sound.I appeal to the government of Balochistan, especially Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, to pay heed to this concern and I request the media to highlight such issues in order to get them solved as soon as possible.MEHER BALOCHTurbat
