Sir: The Pakistan Cricket Board wants to change its domestic structure. It wants to finish the department teams and wants regional teams to be sponsored. The PCB should change the regional association election system in which two groups are contest for the post of president, secretary and treasurer. The same people will run the association for decades. The PCB should change the voting system. Instead of clubs voting for a team, it should be the players who should do so as they have played for Pakistan in Test matches, One-Day Internationals, T-20s, etc. Only those players can vote who have retired from cricket. For example, a player who has played cricket for Karachi could vote for the Karachi Cricket Association. The same rule should apply to other games as well. Those elected to the posts of president, secretary and treasurer should not be able to participate the next time so that new people can be elected. Ghazanfar Ali Khan Karachi
