Sir: It is good to see that currently the federal and the provincial investigation agencies such as National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Anti-Corruption have become active to apprehend all those elements who have been involved in corrupt practices or have misused their authority in one form or the other. But it has also been generally observed by all and sundry that the officials working in the above referred investigating agencies have been living lives beyond their legal income/resources. In other words, they have been living in palatial private bungalows, using private luxury vehicles and making frequent foreign private visits with their family members. Certainly, all these things do not happen with the legal meagre source of income that they earn in the form of monthly salaries. I have a question: if any of the officials of NAB, FIA and Anti-Corruption is found involved in corrupt practices, then which is the agency to apprehend these elements? I would be happy if any of the representatives of such investigative agencies guide and convince me on this very important aspect. As I recall, charity begins at home. ABDUL SAMAD SAMO Karachi
