Sir: One wonders about the state of things in the capital, especially when it comes to hygiene and cleanliness. The constant dharnas (sit-ins) and the continuous flow of human traffic must mean that there is plenty of human waste and garbage just flowing through the streets of the capital. What does the federal government plan to do about it? Is the capital city of Islamabad, the seat of government where all foreign and national dignitaries converge, supposed to stay dirty? I cannot imagine any civilised country on earth where one’s dirty laundry is literally drying out in the court and gardens of parliament! SHAISHTA AFRIDI Rawalpindi
