Sir: Islamabad, unlike Lahore or Karachi, is a city where public transport is not that common. It is very expensive, especially for low income or working class people in the capital to commute back and forth from their workplaces to their homes. Many individuals are raising their voices against the Metro Bus project in Islamabad. Perhaps they have never had the experience of standing in long queues and waiting for the bus to arrive. Since the number of buses is very low, the only choice left is wagons that are mostly overcrowded and difficult to find space in to sit properly. A mass transit system will not only provide convenient transport to those individuals who cannot afford a car but will save time for many people who have to do lots of travelling every day. I strongly suggest all the politicians leave politics aside and work in the interests of the public. HAMZA SYED Lahore
