SIR: The promotion of girls’ education is considered one of the most essential agendas around the world since educated girls play a gigantic role in the development of a country or a society. Government has failed to promote girls’ education and its total literacy rate is 58 percent which is unsatisfactory compared to the literacy rate in developed societies. Nevertheless, education for girls is in abysmal condition in remote areas like Dasht, Pasni, Ormara and Nalent. According to a local survey in Dasht, 80 percent girls are out of schools; however, in Pasni 65 percent girls are deprived of education due to negligence of the concerned authorities. It is the responsibility of the education department to properly regulate the education sector and take measures for the promotion of girls’ education. NAZGUL BALOCH Turbat
