Sir: Pakistan is a country in this contemporary era that is distinguished because of the food it manufactures. We all love food and we want ourselves to be called as a foodie or a food lover but what if I tell you that the ambrosial food we are eating is prepared in an environment you will not even use as a toilet? Moreover we Muslims even if we go abroad want to have halal food and for that reason we seek halal restaurants, but what if I tell you that the steak or grilled meat you are eating here in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is from a dead animal? Identical questions arise when you hear the news about sealing of restaurants due to unhygienic conditions. This demands a strict checking regime in the whole of Pakistan with highly trained food scientists along with security personnel and raids must be carried out regardless of the powerful owners of the restaurants so that sincere foodies stay loyal to those restaurants.
