Sir: The dark cloud of dynastic politics in Pakistan that has shadowed the country for several decades using the name of democracy now seems to be going away. The dynamics of politics has changed as the people have spoken for themselves. The old redundant speeches are no longer viable. People want their problems to be addressed. Our people have also revolted against VIP culture. It is not a matter of triumph for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) or Imran Khan. It is indeed a vote for change by the common man against the monsters behind killings of innocent people, increasing unemployment and rampant corruption. It has been exposed that the government is plagued with nepotism and favouritism at every level. The common man has been victimised in every sphere of life. For how long will we be ruled under such forms of government, where there is no economic equality? It is the right time to throw away this hackneyed and banal economic system. We all need to wake up and raise our voices to change the fate of our poor masses. IFTIKHAR MIRZAIslamabad
