Sir: I recently visited the Passport Office in Lahore to apply for my first passport. After getting done with the application and its submission, I realised that a good two hours had lapsed including the travel time to the passport office in Garden Town, Lahore that is at a 45 minutes distance from my residence. As I was about to leave, I saw a TCS booth on the passport office premises that was apparently set up for the delivery of passports at home. I subscribed to the service at a very nominal charge and I am happy I did. After a few days, I received my passport at my doorstep. The courier took my thumb impression on the biometric machine for the verification of my identity. I am truly delighted with the kind of timely service and convenience I was provided. To me it was great convenience to have the passport delivered at home instead of taking an off day from my office to collect my passport. HASSAN AFTAB MALIK Lahore
