Sir: Few people will dispute the fact Imran Khan is among the finest cricketers produced by Pakistan. Under his captaincy, Pakistan won the 1992 World Cup at Melbourne. Unfortunately Imran Khan as a politician is fast losing the confidence and respect of the masses at home and abroad owing to his irresponsible and reckless posturing. Many political analysts and commentators are perplexed and baffled by his posturing and stance on many an issue. They are of the view that he is pushing himself into a desperate corner, with no obvious exit. To put it in the words of Babar Sattar, a columnist and lawyer: “Imran has seriously undermined PTI’s credibility as a serious party, a party capable of taking Pakistan to safer shores.” Waris Shere Winnipeg, Canada
