Sir: There is no let up in the way the government tries its utmost to make the citizens miserable. No sooner had we settled down with the lowered rates of petrol and petroleum products do we hear news of the government planning to increase the prices again. Why can we not allow the people to just reap the benefits of these decreased prices? Why must we insist on keeping the people on their toes? If petrol prices have been lessened the world over, the government needs to let the people feel some comfort. Instead of thinking to increase the prices of petrol products, it should actually think of reducing them. DANIYAL JAFFER Lahore
