Sir: The month of Ramzan is upon us once again. Whilst we congratulate and wish one another at this holy time, I would like for my fellow man to remember that Ramzan is a time for patience, tolerance and forgiveness. In Pakistan, it seems to be nothing more than a period of 30 days in which our frustrations double, our anger multiplies and our remembrance of God and His tenets seems to diminish. We stock up on food as though we will eat 10 meals in the day, we suffer incurable road rage and we hurt the feelings of others when we lose our temper due to hunger. I do not think this is what God had in mind when He prescribed this month of piety for us. ASAD FAROOQ Lahore
