Afghan nationals nabbed for involvement in dacoities

ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: The Shalimar police busted a gang of dacoits and recovered gold ornaments, cash, mobile phone, watches, and weapons from their possession, a police spokesperson said on Sunday.According to reports, Shalimar Police Station SHO Inspector Sajjad Haider Bukhari, ASI Muhammad Iqbal, and a police team made all-out efforts to trace these dacoits and finally busted an Afghan gang involved in dacoities. The police team recovered gold ornaments, cash, mobile phone, watches and stolen property, four pistols, along with 100 bullets from their possession. Further investigation is underway from them. During the investigation, the accused confessed their involvement in dacoities at area of the Shalimar Police Station in Sector F11/1, F11/2, F10/1, F10/4 and F10/2, area of Police Station Golra, Ramna and Margalla.On the other hand, the police recovered two kilogrammes of heroin worth millions of rupees and arrested three culprits on Sunday. According to reports, the police stopped a suspected car in the jurisdiction of the Airport Police Station.  During the search of the vehicle, two kilogrammes of heroin of high quality hidden in secret chambers of car was recovered. The police seized the recovered drug worth millions of rupees and arrested three smugglers.
