Radio Pakistan building vacated over fear of attack

ISLAMABAD: The authorities concerned have evacuated the staff of the Radio Pakistan and shifted it to the Rawalpindi office to avoid any mishap and sealed the building completely. According to reports, the Radio Pakistan headquarters was vacated in the wake of the ongoing protest-ins and the staff was shifted to the Rawalpindi office while currently, all sorts of broadcasts are suspended. The authorities feared an attack on Radio Pakistan’s nerve centre by the participants of the protest sit-ins. The Radio Pakistan headquarters is located opposite to the NADRA office in the Red Zone. The protest sit-ins staged by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) are nearly one kilometre away from the Radio Pakistan’s building.
