CTP issues traffic plan for Hajj flight operation

RAWALPINDI: The City Traffic Police (CTP) has issued a special traffic plan to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, keeping in view the increasing number of visitors to the Benazir Bhutto International Airport due to the start of the Hajj flight operation. “A special squad comprising inspectors has been deputed and a helpline 1915 has been established, besides the deployment of additional traffic wardens, which would ensure the smooth flow of traffic,” said Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Shoaib Khurrum Janbaz on Thursday. Under the plan, he said that the visitors would not be allowed to park their vehicles around the airport, as separate arrangements had been made for them to avoid rush within the airport premises. He said that no one would be allowed to violate the rule of law. He directed the warden to perform their duties honestly. The CTO would supervise the entire traffic plan during the Hajj flight operations.
