Water level in Rawal Dam rises

RAWALPINDI: The water level in the Rawal Dam has started rising due to the continuous rains. According to the Rawal Dam authorities, the water level of the dam had risen up to 1,751 feet, which is more than the average capacity of the dam. If the rains continue for two more days as forecasted by the Meteorological Department, the authorities said that they would have to open the spillway to create space for more water. The adjacent localities have been informed about the opening of the spillways in case the rain continues for the next 72 hours.
